Sinan - the architect of the Empire

 At the time of Suleiman I, Selim II and Murad III operates one of the greatest architects of the Ottoman Empire. Kodza Mimar Sinan Aga was born on April 15, 1489 in Aarnas, a village in southeastern Anatolia. Because of scanty information about his early years his origin remains a mystery. Undoubtedly, his greatest achievement as an architect is the Sultan Mosque in Istanbul, built in honor of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. Suleymaniye Mosque is built on several terraces on a hill in Istanbul overlooking the Bosphorus. Besides the mosque with its four minarets and the tombs in the complex include a hospital, medical school meals for poor school, four madrassas and many shops.
The mosque is the plan of Hagia Sophia as added some detailed structural improvements, but without exceeding the size of the temple.
