Paris


 Paris is the capital and largest city in France. Situated on the River Seine, Seine divides it into two parts. His name has been in Paris about 212 years of local Celtic tribe Parisi.

 Already in medieval Paris is one of the major French cities, after the opening of the Sorbonne in the 12th century, Paris became one of the first university towns and arts center. By the 14th century the city became one of the most important centers in Europe.

 Over 150 museums can be visited in the city Paris. One of them is the biggest French national museum - the Louvre. Once the building was used for the royal palace, and today is one of the most famous and popular museums in the world.
 One of the most recognizable architectural landmarks in the world was the Eiffel Tower, the world famous symbol of Paris and France.
 Champs Elysees is perhaps the most famous Parisian boulevard, the name which literally translates as Elysium, in Greek mythology who are the realm of the dead. Construction of the Champs-Elysees begins in the 17th century, was in the early part of the park with a lake, created to entertain kings and aristocracy. Today, the Champs-Elysees from Concorde begins and ends at Charles de Gaulle Square.
At the heart of Charles de Gaulle Square, at the end of the Champs-Elysees is the Arc de Triomphe. The monument was erected in Paris during the reign of Napoleon Bonapard. Start of construction was launched in 1806 and graduated in 1836.

Hunchback of Notre Dame is a Catholic cathedral, built between 1163 and 1260 in the Gothic style. Located on the island of the Cite, the Seine River. Here on December 2, 1804 Napoleon I was crowned emperor.

Paris is also one of the world's fashion capitals, and one of the most famous gastronomic center and destination for romantic travel.
